BERNADETTE offers worldwide delivery, with the exception of Afghanistan, Central African Republic, Cook Islands, Fiji, French Polynesia, French Southern Territories, Iraq, Kiribati, Malawi, Nauru, New Caledonia, Niue, Norfolk Island, Papua New Guinea, Pitcairn Islands, Russia, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Somalia, South Georgia & South Sandwich Islands, South Sudan, Sudan, Timor-Leste, Tokelau, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, Wallis & Futuna.

Please read the below information carefully before placing an order.

What if I need to change or cancel my order?

Unfortunately, once an order is placed, it cannot be canceled.

If you need to correct a size, contact information, or other order details, please contact us at sales@bernadetteantwerp.com within 1 hour of placing your order. After this window, we are unable to make any changes.

Orders shipping within the EU

When will my order be processed?

Upon payment and confirmation of the order, it gets processed within 1-3 business days after placing the order. Once processed, an e-mail with tracking information will be sent. After this, shipping information can no longer be updated.

It may take up to 24 hours for the tracking information to be updated.

Please note orders are not processed or shipped over the weekend or during Belgian holidays.

When will my order arrive?

All European orders are shipped via DPD, except for orders containing ceramic items, which are shipped via DHL Express to ensure safe delivery.

Once handed over to the courier, the responsibility of the parcel lies with the courier company. BERNADETTE cannot be held responsible in the event of loss, theft, or damage to the parcel.

Please allow 1 to 7 working days for your order to arrive after receipt of the tracking information. Delivery times are provided as guidelines only and may be affected by unforeseen delays at the courier.

How much are the shipping charges?

BERNADETTE offers free delivery to selected countries* within the EU on orders above €950.

For orders below €950, the following shipping charges apply:

Belgium: €15 (€20 if the order includes one or more ceramic items)

Other EU countries: €20 (€25 if the order includes one or more ceramic items)

How much are the duty and tax charges?

For orders shipped to countries within the European Union, there are no additional taxes or customs duty charges. The price you pay at checkout includes all applicable EU taxes.

Orders shipping outside the EU

How much are the shipping charges?

BERNADETTE offers free express delivery to all U.S. orders and to orders above 950€ to selected countries*.

For orders below €950, express shipping charges are as follows:

Oceania: €45 (€65 if the order includes one or more ceramic items)
Other countries outside the EU (excluding US and Oceania): €35 (€40 if the order includes one or more ceramic items)

*Please refer to the list of eligible countries for free express delivery.

How much are the duty and tax charges?

Orders shipped to the United States:

For all orders shipped to the United States, all applicable import duties and taxes are calculated and collected at checkout. This means that the total amount paid by the customer includes any customs fees, so there will be no additional charges upon delivery. BERNADETTE ensures that all U.S.-bound orders are fully cleared for import, allowing the package to arrive smoothly without surprises or delays due to customs.

Orders outside of the US and below €950:

All orders below €950, as well as orders shipped to countries not eligible for free shipping, are shipped on a Delivered at Place (DAP) basis. Customs duties and taxes are not included in the item price or shipping cost. By placing an international order, you agree to pay any applicable customs, duties, or taxes imposed by your country.

BERNADETTE is unable to calculate these charges prior to your order being placed and cannot cover them on behalf of customers. Any applicable fees will be collected by the carrier upon delivery. If duties and taxes are not paid and the delivery is refused, customers will not be reimbursed for the order.

BERNADETTE cannot be held responsible for any costs related to delayed payment and bonded storage in the case the customer refuses to pay taxes and duties.

In the rare event that BERNADETTE is mistakenly invoiced directly for (additional) fees by the shipping company after delivery, we will email an invoice to the customer for the balance due.

Orders outside of the US and above €950:

All orders over €950 to eligible countries outside the European Union are shipped on a Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) basis. This means that BERNADETTE covers and prepays the import duties and taxes. Customers will not be charged additional import duties or taxes for these orders.

Orders that are shipped DDP, must be ordered in the local currency of the shipping country provided at checkout. If an order was paid for in another currency than the currency of the residing country, the order will be shipped DAP, which means that BERNADETTE is not responsible for any duties or import taxes upon arrival of the parcel at the destination country.

Any import duties charged for parcels paid for in another currency than the currency of the residing country should be taken care of by the customer upon arrival of the order at the destination country.

What special requirements should I consider when shipping to the United States?

When purchasing goods from an overseas supplier, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) designates the recipient as the ultimate importer. CBP regulations require the ultimate importer to provide a valid identification number, which can be either a Federal Identification Number (EIN) issued by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) or a Social Security Number (SSN) for individuals. This requirement applies to all shipments, regardless of whether they qualify as an informal entry (valued under 2500 USD) or a formal entry (valued over 2500 USD).

If the ultimate importer refuses to provide the required identification number, BERNADETTE is not responsible for any shippings-related costs, including shipping fees, customs handling fees, or storage costs if the parcel is held at customs. Any costs incurred will be deducted from the refund once the parcel is returned from customs.

This policy also applies to returns from the U.S. to BERNADETTE. If the customer refuses to provide the required identification number to US Customs, all costs related to the return shipment will be the customer's responsibility.

How do pre-orders work?

BERNADETTE offers customers the opportunity to reserve pieces from new collections in advance. Pre-orders ensure that all items, in every size, are available to clients and will be shipped promptly at the time of the collection launch.

Pre-orders can be placed during the presentation period of the collection and will ship on the date specified at checkout.

When placing a pre-order: A deposit of 50% is charged at checkout.

The remaining 50% balance is due when the items are ready to ship. BERNADETTE will contact customers with the payment instructions for the balance.

Once the full payment has been received, pre-ordered items will be shipped first.

All pre-orders will be shipped to the address provided by the customer at checkout.

Please note: Pre-ordered items are custom-made and are therefore not eligible for returns or refunds.
